Goals, Vision and Outlook

The primary goal of establishing the Agricultural Economics major at Zabol University is to train experts who can improve the economic situation and develop the agricultural sector at the regional and national levels. Graduates of this major acquire knowledge and skills in the fields of accounting, preparation and economic evaluation of agricultural and natural resource plans, marketing of agricultural products, and other theoretical topics such as microeconomics and macroeconomics, econometrics, etc. These skills can be effective in solving agricultural problems. In addition to training agricultural economics experts, the Agricultural Economics Department at Zabol University also trains graduates of this major at the master's and doctoral levels, who can then find employment in research and teaching at universities and research centers in different parts of the country after obtaining their master's and doctoral degrees.
