At the Shrine of the Holy One: Celebrating Hafez National Day at University Of Zabol

In order to preserve the Persian language and honor the high status of Hafez Shirazi, the National Festival to Commemorate Hafez Day, which is a program announced by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, will be held in cooperation with this ministry and hosted by the University of Zabol. This national ritual will be held with the aim of deepening the Iranian-Islamic identity, promoting the Persian language and literature, and linking the university, culture and art of Iran.
Dr. Vahid Shalchi, Deputy Minister of Culture and Social Affairs of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, will be present at this ceremony, and a group of prominent professors of Hafez studies and Persian literature (national and international) will give speeches and present their views on Hafez's thought, mysticism, and place in Iranian culture.
Also, traditional music groups will add an atmosphere of passion and authenticity of Iranian music to the festival atmosphere with live performances. On the sidelines of this conference, a calligraphy exhibition of works by professors from Zabol city will be held, and prominent artists will honor the memory and name of this great poet by writing Hafez's poems. Copies of these works will be given to the participants as souvenirs. In addition, an exhibition of handicrafts by Sistani artists will also be held alongside the festival programs to showcase the authentic art and long-standing culture of the Sistan region. In the cultural section of this program, Hafez's fortune-telling will be distributed among the attendees and five participants will be awarded with exquisite prizes by drawing lots.
One of the important points of this event is the simultaneous holding of a meeting of cultural and social vice presidents of universities from eight countries in the region, the secretariat of which has been entrusted to the University of Zabol. The presence of cultural vice presidents of universities in the region in this program adds to the cultural and national richness of this conference and further highlights the position of Zabol University as the cultural leader of the southeast of the country.
This program will be held on Saturday, November 25, at 5:30 PM in the International Conference Hall of Zabol University, and attendance is open to professors, students, and those interested in Persian culture and literature.
