Seven faculty members of the University of Zabol are among the top two percent of researchers in the world in 2024

According to the latest information provided on the Elsevier website, the names of seven faculty members of Zabol University were included in the list of the top two percent of researchers in the world.
Announcing this news, the Vice President for Research and Technology of the university added: Dr. Mostafa Khajeh (Full Professor, Department of Chemistry), Dr. Behrouz Kashtegar (Associate Professor, Department of Civil Engineering), Dr. Mohammad Reza Rakhshani (Associate Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering), Dr. Abbas Rahdar (Associate Professor, Department of Physics), Dr. Ehsan Ahmadifar (Associate Professor, Department of Fisheries), Dr. Somayeh Shahraki (Associate Professor, Department of Chemistry), and Dr. Fatemeh Karandish (Associate Professor, Department of Water Engineering) were included in the top two percent of researchers in the world.
It is worth noting that the information provided in two sections of continuity (5 years until the end of 2023) and one year (2023 only) identified the researchers based on the h-index, hm-index, citations to articles regarding the position of the authors, and a composite index (c-score) and using data from the Scopus database. It should be noted that the C-score focuses on impact (citations) rather than quantity (number of publications) and also includes information about the paper's collaborators and author positions (single author, first, last author).
