Publication of an article by members of the Faculty of Agriculture in the prestigious journal Scientific Reports, a publication of the Nature subgroup.
An article by the faculty members of the Faculty of Agriculture was published in the 14th issue of 2024 of the prestigious journal Scientific Reports, a sub-group of Nature publications.
This article, titled Transcriptomic analysis reveals role of lncRNA LOC100257036 to regulate AGAMOUS during cluster compactness of Vitis vinifera cv. sistan yaghooti, was published by Dr. Abbasali Imamjoomeh and Dr. Nafiseh Mehdinejad (scientists in the Department of Plant Breeding and Biotechnology) and Dr. Mahmoud Suluqi (full professor in the Department of Plant Breeding and Biotechnology, Zabol University) and researchers from the University of Tehran and the University of Verona, Italy, as one of the articles extracted from the doctoral dissertation of Ms. Shahla Sahraei (a doctoral student in Agricultural Biotechnology at the University). This research is part of a problem-oriented project on breeding to reduce cluster density of Sistan Ruby grape, which aims to increase marketability and reduce the incidence of fungal diseases in this only valuable garden product of Sistan (as the earliest grape and the most delicious Iranian Ruby grape). This project is being carried out in the Bioinformatics and Computational Biotechnology Research Laboratory of the university with transcriptomic and bioinformatics studies on Sistan Ruby grape; which has so far led to the publication of 7 articles in prestigious journals with JCR index and, God willing, will continue until this grape breed is genetically reduced in terms of cluster density.
