The selection of the university faculty member project in the ninth cycle of the Shahid Ahmadi Roshan project, National Elite Foundation
According to the university's public relations, drought is one of the most important problems in the Sistan region, which has occurred due to human interference in the upper reaches of the Hirmand and Farah Rud rivers, and the occurrence of dust storms with the main source of the dried-up Hamun international wetlands is one of its most important results. With the exploitation of the Bakhsh Abad Dam on the Farah Rud River, which leads to the Hamun Saberi international wetland, and the interruption of the water inflow and the drying up of Hamun Saberi, dust storms have intensified and are a serious threat to the Sistan region. Therefore, in order to achieve the goals of Zabol University in providing scientific solutions based on the results of studies to solve regional problems, Dr. Vahid Rahdari, a member of the faculty of Zabol University, presented a project entitled "Investigating the effects of land use change and the creation of the Bakhsh Abad Dam in the Farah Rud basin in Afghanistan on the Sistan region and providing practical solutions to reduce the effects" to the National Elite Foundation and the ninth period of the Shahid Ahmadi Roshan Plan, which was selected among various proposed projects and approved by the foundation. Other benefits of this plan include the requirement to employ students at different levels of education, preparing students for practical activities after graduation, and providing financial support to cooperating students for 9 months. Interested students can apply for cooperation in this plan by visiting the SINA (National Foundation for Elites) system. It is worth noting that Dr. Rahdari, Assistant Professor of the Department of Environment, Faculty of Natural Resources, has been selected to present the plan in this event for the second time.
