The design of the faculty member of the Architecture Department was selected in the ninth edition of the Shahid Ahmadi Roshan design, National Elite Foundation

According to the Public Relations Department of Zabol University, the ninth session of the Shahid Ahmadi Roshan Project for professors applying to lead problem-oriented research and technological cores was held with the aim of empowering students and top graduates around a real problem through demand-oriented and priority-oriented cores. The special benefits of this project include the requirement to employ students at different levels of education, preparing students for practical activities after graduation, and providing financial support for 9 months to fellow students.

One of the windy areas of Iran is the Sistan region, and the local architecture of this region has been formed quite effectively from its windy climate. Local architects have used unique techniques to benefit from the God-given energy of the wind. One of these techniques, which has been formed to adjust the weather conditions in the local architecture of this region, has been the use of thorn huts in the construction of local housing. In order to discover the secrets of the indigenous architecture of the Sistan region and with the aim of reviving and updating the techniques of using climate in architecture, Dr. Jamshid Dabdolan, a member of the faculty of the Department of Architecture, in order to achieve the university's goals of providing scientific solutions based on the results of studies to solve the problems of the region, submitted a project entitled "Study, design and construction of a modern system derived from the indigenous windbreaks of the Sistan region to be placed in the openings of buildings in hot and dry regions" to the National Elite Foundation in the ninth period of the Shahid Ahmadi Roshan Project, which was selected among various proposed projects and approved by the foundation. This project is trying to study the performance of old windbreaks and update these windbreaks; therefore, this idea of ​​a living space cooling system with the ability to reduce energy consumption is an improved and modern version of the traditional windbreaks of the Sistan region that the native residents of this region have been using for many years to utilize the God-given energy of the wind and reduce the temperature of the living space.
