A meeting of cultural and social deputies of the eight-nation region was held at the University of Zabol.

The meeting of the vice presidents of cultural and social affairs of universities in the eight-country region was held on Saturday, November 25, at the University of Zabol, with the presence of Dr. Vahid Shalchi, deputy minister of culture and social affairs of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology.
In this meeting, which was attended by the vice presidents of cultural and social affairs of universities in the provinces of Sistan and Baluchestan, Kerman and Hormozgan, strategies for developing cultural cooperation between universities and strengthening national identity in academic environments were discussed.
On the sidelines of this meeting, Dr. Shalchi emphasized the importance of the issue of national identity in the cultural programs of the Ministry of Science and said:
One of the main goals of the vice president of cultural and social affairs of the Ministry of Science is to strengthen national identity among the academic community. In this regard, various programs are being implemented to familiarize students with the country's valuable cultural and historical heritage.
He added: Another approach of the Ministry of Science is to recognize and pay attention to the diverse subcultures of Iran and explain their common foundations so that all provinces can participate in the process of promoting national culture.
Referring to the high status of Iran's literary and cultural heritage, Dr. Shalchi noted: Iranian literature and culture are among our identity assets. Today, on this occasion, a ceremony to commemorate Hafez's National Day will be held at Zabol University, which is a crystallization of the connection between Iranian science, literature, and culture.
Continuing the meeting, Dr. Majid Erfanian, Vice President for Culture and Social Affairs of Zabol University, welcomed the attendees and said:
"Today, we are hosting the Vice Presidents for Culture and Social Affairs of the Eight Countries Region. The main goal of this meeting is to create synergy between universities and benefit from shared experiences to solve cultural and social challenges in scientific environments:
He added: In the Eight Countries Region, 12 important universities are active in the three provinces of Sistan and Baluchestan, Kerman, and Hormozgan, and representatives of 8 universities were present at this meeting. Our effort is to take an effective step in promoting the cultural activities of universities by continuing these interactions.
