The brilliance of the Sistan scholarly woman at the Science Night; celebrating the status of women and knowledge at the University of Zabol

On the evening of December 19, at the same time as the cultural and scientific event "Science Night" was held at the University of Zabol, a ceremony to honor the university's top researchers was held; this ceremony took on a different, identity-based and inspiring color this year, coinciding with the birth anniversary of Hazrat Fatima Zahra (PBUH).
In this regard, and on the occasion of this auspicious night, the title of "Lady of Science Sista" was awarded for the first time to one of the university's most prominent scientific figures; an honor that went to Dr. Shahraki, a full professor in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Zabol; a woman whose years of scientific, research and educational efforts have made the name of the University of Zabol shine nationally and internationally.
With the academic rank of Professor, Dr. Shahraki has a distinguished record in the field of research; Including:
• Publishing 76 ISI articles
• Registering 1409 scientific citations in Scopus
• Obtaining an h-index of 24
• Authoring 2 scientific books
• Working as an editor in 3 prestigious international journals
• Being selected as a top 2% scientist in the world for 2 years
• Being awarded the title of the faculty's top researcher for 3 consecutive years
Earning the title of Lady of Science of Sistan is important from several perspectives; on the one hand, it shows the university's attention to the status of women, especially women scientists and influencers in the field of science, and on the other hand, the coincidence of this selection with the birth anniversary of Hazrat Zahra (PBUH) sends a clear message of the connection between science, spirituality, and the dignity of women in Iranian-Islamic culture. Undoubtedly, achieving such a position, along with playing the important role of motherhood, is a clear testament to the capability, commitment, and perseverance of educated women who, despite their family responsibilities, have expanded the boundaries of science and are considered an inspiring role model for the younger generation, especially female students.
This honor is not only an individual success, but also a sign of the high scientific capacity of Zabol University and its effective role in cultivating the human and scientific capital of the Sistan region; a capacity that can create a brighter future for science and sustainable development.
