Promoting the Central Laboratory of Zabol University as an active member of the Strategic Technologies Laboratory Network

By the grace of God Almighty and in accordance with the strategic policies of the University of Zabol, which focus on research and improving the quality of research activities, especially strengthening laboratories as one of the main infrastructures for the development of research and technology; the university's central laboratory was upgraded from experimental to active status after successfully passing the assessments of the officials of the Strategic Technologies Laboratory Network of the Presidential Vice-President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy.

While announcing this news, Ms. Dr. Noori, Director of the Central Laboratory, continued, “Since improving the quality and increasing the quantity of laboratory services in the areas of strategic technology, facilitating access of researchers and industries of the country to laboratory services, collecting comprehensive information on the number and type of laboratory equipment with the aim of assessing the correct needs for developing the country's laboratory capacity, standardizing laboratory activities and providing services with reliable results, and helping to complete the laboratory capabilities of member centers in line with the needs of the country are among the goals of membership and activity in the Strategic Technologies Laboratory Network of the Presidential Vice-President for Science and Technology, and the Vice-President's support for laboratory centers is only provided in the form of membership in this network and based on the network's support guidelines, therefore the amount and ceiling of support in the network is determined based on the scores and ranks of the laboratories in periodic assessments. Therefore, the performance of the Central Laboratory of Zabol University will also be evaluated and ranked annually, along with other member centers, and the type of membership and benefit from the support of this network will be promoted, according to the scores obtained in the assessment and according to the network's guidelines.

He continued by stating that the Central Laboratory of Zabol University, as a laboratory complex consisting of departments and units equipped with advanced devices and technologies, is operating with the aim of creating a platform for the localization of research and technology in accordance with regional and national potentials. In parallel with providing services in accordance with advanced laboratory technologies to faculty members and research students of Zabol University and other applicants, this laboratory complex is trying to develop innovative ideas and guide them towards commercialization and service provision. By developing and deepening cooperation with the Strategic Technologies Laboratory Network, it will also enable the optimal use of resources and the possibility of providing services to the scientific community, industries in the country, and applicants inside and outside the university.
