Improving JIBS' international standing by receiving its first Impact Factor in 2025

Following the significant success of the Journal of Insect Biodiversity and Systematics (JIBS) in being indexed in the Web of Science database, the journal received its first Impact Factor in 2025, an achievement that further solidifies its international position among specialized journals in the field of entomology.
Since 1400, the editor-in-chief of this journal has been Dr. Ehsan Rakhshani, a full professor at the University of Zabol; a role that is considered influential and decisive in promoting scientific quality, improving refereeing processes, and bringing the journal to the necessary standards for entry into international citation systems.
Focusing on the biodiversity and systematics of insects and other arthropods, the JIBS journal is published as Open Access and is indexed in Web of Science, as well as in reputable databases such as Scopus, DOAJ, CAB Abstracts, Zoobank, and EBSCO.
Receiving the Impact Factor in 2025 is an important step towards enhancing the scientific credibility of this journal and indicates the continuation of the trend of qualitative growth and increasing the impact of the research published in it.
