Holding the commemoration ceremony of the first millennium for writing the history of Sistan in Zabol University.

The celebration of the first millennium of writing the history of Sistan in Zabol University with the presence of Dr. Kalantari, Deputy Cultural and Social Affairs of the Ministry of Science, Engineer Molashahi, Special Governor of Zabol City, Farajian, the representative of the Supreme Leader in Zabol University, Dr. Afrasiab, the Honorable President of the University, and board members, faculty members and students were held on 2024 February 28 , Wednesday at the International Conference Hall of Zabol University, and in this ceremony Professor Gholamreza Omrani, a linguist, editor and author of linguistics textbooks and researches, was also honored.
At the beginning of the ceremony, Dr. Afrasiab, the president of Zabol University, while welcoming the attendees, said about the importance of the book on the history of Sistan; “Today we are proud to have a document from a thousand years ago that proves that we had history thousands of years ago.”
The president of the university further stated; “We should appreciate the people who put cultural elements together to create an identity for us; People who compile cultural characteristics to give identity to our culture, and today one of those dear ones is present in our group.”
Dr. Kalantari, the cultural and social deputy of the Ministry of Science, expressed his gratitude for holding this ceremony and said, “The book on the history of Sistan is a book that narrates our ancient history, shows the authenticity of Iran, and depicts the monotheistic thinking that has been flowing in Iran. This book is the narration of a history of thousands of years, which shows that we were the first land to have a sense of nationality.”
He added, “Basically, one of the important functions of the university is to be able to communicate with its environment and feel all the cultural elements in that environment in its text. We are obliged to formulate and promote these cultural assets well.”
In the following, Prof. Imrani, a linguist, editor and author of linguistics textbooks and research books, considered the book of the history of Sistan as the first cultural and literary masterpiece of Iran, whose value has not yet been properly recognized. He added, “One of the prominent features of this book is that every single word of it is irreplaceable, and one of the great happiness of us, the people of Sistan and the whole of Iran, is that we have a book with such precision and elegance in our hands, which does not say anything but the truth. At the same time, it has story and novel content, and is unparalleled in terms of writing techniques, it also is purely historical.
At the end of this ceremony, Professor Imrani was honored for more than half a century of efforts in preserving, spreading and continuing the rich culture of Sistan.
