The construction of the Faculty of Engineering building began approximately 15 months after the establishment of Zabol University in Bahman month of the year 1379 (February / March 2001), with the admission of 17 students in two fields: rural civil engineering and surveying. In the moth of Mordad of the year 1380 (July/ August 2001), with the approval of the Council for the Expansion of Higher Education, the Faculty of Engineering was officially founded. Now, the Faculty of Engineering has more than fifty members and consists of five educational departments: Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, and Surveying, which also operate in specializations such as Civil-Structural, Civil-Water, and Electrical-Power in postgraduate levels. The presence of young professors and experts with a strong scientific spirit and high research capabilities, who are graduates of reputable universities inside and outside the country, alongside active scientific students, is one of the strengths of this faculty. Several patents, achieving positions in national festivals, and authoring scientific articles referenced in high-ranking journals are among the successes achieved in the faculty. In the second half of the year 1395 (2016), with the relocation to the newly constructed building of the Faculty of Engineering, the physical needs of this faculty in terms of administrative and laboratory spaces were largely met. Currently, the equipping of the prepared spaces and landscaping of the surrounding areas of the building are being pursued and in progress.
